We are hiking Kaiser Peak

Kaiser Peak is a strenuous hike, located near Huntington Lake, reaching 10,300 ft elevation at the top (the trail has a 3,215 ft elevation gain).

We will meet up at the Park & Ride at the bottom of the four-lane on Highway 168 at 8:00am. We can arrange a carpool from there to make it more convenient.

I will be leading our group to the top. I’ve hiked to the peak multiple times from the southside as well as up the back through Potter Pass. There is a very well-marked trail that we will be following.

Prepare for a long hike! AllTrials says it is 10.8 miles there and back and averages 6.5 hours to complete.

What to bring:

  • Comfortable daypack
  • Plenty of water, Camelback is preferred
  • Trekking poles

Highly Recommended:

  • Chapstick
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Lightweight hiking shoes
  • Good socks
  • Band-AIDS
  • Whistle
  • Granola bars
  • Protein of your choice
  • Electrolyte chews available at REI or Big Five

Stay tuned for any updates that may arise for this hike!
